FARM.RENT

CHANGE LIVES

What is Farm. Rent. Change Lives?

This is an idea. A paradigm shift of bringing people back to the farm.

How?

By collaborating with farmers to rent part of their land, to those who want to build a vacation home for a specific number of years. When you are not using your vacation home, you can rent it out to airbnb or any rental company. You can income from your vacation home.

The farmer receives income from land rental. Both are a win win in this situation. This idea is simple and yet we never think of it.

Why?

Because we have been taught that the only way to have your own vacation home or vacation hut, is by owning one.

What usually happen is we work hard and long, that by the time we are able to own one, we are already in a different phase of our lives, or we are too old or too poor to even  think of a vacation home.

Solution:

The answer is renting part of a land from a farmer. Think of it as better than time share.

How come better?

You have your vacation home all year round. The best part, is you can have a farm without the headache of running it.   You can rent, you can leave it. Sounds exciting doesn't it?

Take this scenario. You are renting part of the land from a poor farmer. You are creating extra income for the farmer. Since you are the person renting, you will do so for 5 years, so you can have time to enjoy your  vacation home or hut. When you are not at the farm, you can rent it out at airbnb or any rental websites.
When your paying guests leave, the cleaning fee goes to the farmer.
If a guest may want a dish made, the farmer and his wife can be the cook.

If the guest want to go around the farm and have a tour, the farmer can be a tour guide. Let's say there are drift wood in the area. The farmer's son makes souvenirs.

That is five ways for a farmer to income. Through land rental, cleaning fee, as cook, as tour guide and sell souvenirs. In 5 years the farmer will have the leverage to create savings and financial independence to put his children through school, and save for a business ideas he may have in future. In short a path to a more secure future.

1. Farmer Moe rents part of his land to Joe from the big city for 5 years. Moe gets income for his land for the next 5 years. Sweet.

2. Joe rents part of the land from Moe for 5 years and builds his vacation hut. He always wanted a place to call his own without the responsibility of owning a farm. This worked out for him.

3. Joe only visits a few times a year. So Joe decides to put his vacation hut to rent in airbnb.

4. Joe asked Moe and Moes' wife if they can do the clean up after guests leave - which they will be paid. Moe and his wife agreed.

5. Guests sometimes are too lazy to cook- and so have asked if Moe's wife can cook. She is a great cook and makes a feast for the guest- for a fee of course.

6. Guests are not familiar with the surrounding farm- and have asked farmer Moe if he can be their tour guide. He gladly agreed- for a fee of course.

7. Guests really loved staying at the farm. They noticed that Moe Junior is great at making driftwood furniture. They decided to buy as souvenirs. Moe Junior now sells souvenirs to tourist.
